Short Form Producer
SUMMARY/POSITION OVERVIEW
Seeking a full-time experienced Short-form Producer for reality-based television features, shorts and segments. This would include anything under a 30 minute program
(Title and Compensation Commensurate with experience)
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Individual will manage all creative and physical production and post-production aspects of the
\"shorts\" from start to finish including: working with talent, guests, crews, internal
staff, editors, graphics, and music.
- Responsible for content quality and maintaining the creative vision as well as look and feel of
the \"shorts\" aligned with the company's vision.
- Leads and coordinates internal operations and all necessary paperwork required to ensure
timely delivery of each \"short\".
- Some overnight travel is possible.
- Individuals should be sensitive to spiritual issues as they relate to the production of any
specific \"short\".
JOB REQUIREMENTS
– Coordinate all production activities relating to the development and creation of programming materials for the network.
- Ability to oversee and produce field and studio productions.
- Interface with all departments to coordinate production of short form products including: graphics, audio, editing, scheduling, engineering, music selections, talent, and all necessary elements of a production.
- Work closely with and coach talent and guests.
- Maintain established standards – quality control of product.
- Create and propose segment ideas that may further the network's goals.
- Arrange, coordinate, and conduct production meetings as needed.
- Knowledge and experience with contemporary production and postproduction resources including: non-linear editing techniques, graphic creation process, cameras, audio posting techniques, various tape formats, remote productions.
- Ability to work with executive level management.
- Coordinate all production aspects of location and studio shooting.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Able to juggle many different projects at once.
- Assist in creation of overall short-form budget.
- Oversee the coordination of staff and content.
- Schedule edit time, voice-overs, and post production time to insure that air dates are met.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of methods and techniques used in various phases of high-level media production and postproduction, including HD cameras, shooting, and editing.
- Good people skills and communication skills.
- Proven ability to cultivate relationships and resources
Minimum Qualifications:
‑ Bachelor's degree in related field preferred but not required.
‑ Five years experience in television production and postproduction.
‑ Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.
